The First Wave Of Indonesian Hajj Candidates In 2023 Completed, Soetta Airport Departs 31,511 Congregants

JAKARTA - A total of 31,511 prospective Indonesian pilgrims who entered the first wave have been dispatched to the Holy Land through Tangerang Soekarno Hatta Airport (Soetta), Banten.

"There were 31,511 pilgrims who had been dispatched to the Holy Land through Soekarno Hatta Airport in this first wave. The departure began on May 24," said Senior Manager of Branch Communication and Legal at Soetta M Holik Muardi Airport in Tangerang, Banten, Friday, June 9, confiscated by Antara.

He continued, starting Thursday, June 8, 2023, the first day of departure for the second batch of Indonesian pilgrims.

"In the first batch there were 80 clusters. Meanwhile, the airlines flying pilgrims were Garuda Indonesia and Saudia Airlines," he said.

He said the pilgrims who departed in the first batch came from four regions (DKI Jakarta, Banten, Lampung, and West Java) with two embarkations.

"They are divided into two embarkations, namely Pondok Gede and Bekasi Hajj Dormitory, West Java," he said.

He also explained that on the last day of the first wave, 2,384 prospective pilgrims were dispatched to the Holy Land with details of 435 prospective pilgrims from West Java departing from Saudi Airlines SV 5063 at 03.25 WIB.

"Then followed by 05.25 WIB as many as 435 prospective pilgrims who were also flown from West Java Saudi Airlines SV 5529. Followed by 12.05 WIB, 388 pilgrims from Lampung Province departed Garuda Indonesia GIA 7335," he said.

Furthermore, 369 pilgrims from West Java were flown by Saudia Airlines SV 5589 at 16:450 WIB. Then, at 18.05 WIB, 369 prospective pilgrims from West Java were flown by Saudia Airline SV 5729.

"Finally, as many as 388 prospective pilgrims from Banten. They were dispatched by Garuda Indonesia GIA 7336 at 21.25 WIB at night," he said.

Soekarno-Hatta Airport itself serves 54,992 pilgrims in 2023. Everything is divided into 136 batches starting on May 24 ending on June 22, 2023.
