JAKARTA - The Central Executive Board (DPP) of the Hanura Party conveyed that the decision to support the PDI-P (PDIP) presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo was the decision of Hanura cadres and administrators in the regions.

This was conveyed by the General Chairperson (Ketum) of the Hanura Party DPP Oesman Sapta Odang (OSO) when opening the National Workshop and Technical Guidance (Bimtek) for DPRD members from the Hanura Party, in Semarang, Central Java, Monday, May 29 evening.

"It (supporting Ganjar) was not me who decided. It was the decision of the Hanura Party DPD throughout Indonesia, not me. I only participated. As a leader, I had to listen to cadres and administrators in the regions," he said in a written statement, Tuesday, May 30, which was confiscated by Antara.

On the same occasion, OSO also conveyed that Hanura's decision to support Ganjar was the right decision.

According to him, the Governor of Central Java has a lot of experience in the executive and legislative fields and has received support from President Jokowi.

OSO said that President Jokowi's support was one of the most important factors for the Hanura Party in deciding to support Ganjar.

"Because Pak Jokowi has stated his support in front of Mrs. Mega (Ketum PDIP), that's why I believe. If he doesn't support it, it's impossible for Mr. Jokowi to be there. There are a lot of Presidential matters, but Mr. Jokowi came there, he also gave support, yes, we will come," he said.

Next, OSO appreciated Ganjar's presence at the national workshop and technical guidance (bimtek) of the Hanura Party. According to him, Ganjar's presence made the atmosphere of Hanura Party activities even more lively and excited.

"During the Hanura Party's technical activities, this event was the most lively. I am very happy that the regional welcome is so intimate and this activity is attended directly by the Governor of Central Java," he said.

Meanwhile, on this occasion, Ganjar stated that he welcomed the presence of Hanura Party cadres and administrators in Central Java. He also appreciated the support from being given by the Hanura Party for his candidacy in the 2024 presidential election.

"Let's show the world, this election is a people's party, everyone must be happy. With a new spirit, we believe we are able to create enthusiasm in winning and I believe Hanura can bring hope and a new spirit," said Ganjar.
