JAKARTA - Legislators have asked the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) to take action against buildings that violate social and public facilities (fasos fasum) not only in Pluit.

"In Jakarta, there are still many buildings that close waterways and eat roads so that they cannot function optimally, which results in flooding or traffic jams," said a member of Commission D of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Hardiyanto Kenneth, Antara, Sunday, May 28.

According to Kenneth, the DKI Provincial Government must deploy Regional Work Units (SKPD) in each region to comb the buildings that stand above the social and public facilities.

The DKI Provincial Government can also mobilize the ranks of the Mayor to take direct action if a building is found that violates it.

Of course, continued Kenneth, demolition must also be preceded by notification to the building owner.

If the building owner does not want to carry out personal demolition, then the DKI Provincial Government through the city/district government can immediately carry out demolition in order to enforce regional regulations (Perda).

"Give the City Government a task, they must be able to comb in each area and look for buildings that violate the rules, if found they must be dismantled immediately," he explained.

With this effort, Kenneth hopes that the DKI Provincial Government can strictly enforce the regulations without having to wait for the case to go viral on social media.

Previously, the DKI Jakarta Satpol PP deployed 200 personnel to dismantle 22 shop houses (ruko) in Pluit who violated the regulations and referred to technical recommendations (Rekomtek) from the related Official Work Unit (UKPD).

Ruko tersebut melanggar lantaran berdiri di atas fasos fasum yakni saluran air.

"We Satpol PP from the city and provincial levels responded to problems related to the existence of shop houses in this place (North Z4 Block Pluit Karang Niaga) to get a Rekomtek on May 17 to be forcibly dismantled," said Head of DKI Jakarta Satpol PP Arifin in North Jakarta, Wednesday, May 24.

Arifin added that the demolition was carried out after officers conducted socialization to shophouse owners to dismantle the violations that occurred in his shophouse building themselves.

"Socialization has been carried out until May 23, 2023," said Arifin.

However, from the results of the monitoring of officers for four days at Pluit Karang Niaga, there were only a number of shophouses whose owners cooperatively uncovered the building which violated the rules themselves.

"Then today is the last time limit for us to carry out the execution. Today our commitment from the Satpol PP is to carry out the execution of the demolition, this demolition means to restore all existing functions, road functions, channel functions, building functions in accordance with existing regulations," said Arifin.
