Police Investigate Information On Victims Of Obscenity Of Ngaji Teachers In Bandung

Bandung Police are currently investigating information from victims of cases of harassment with the perpetrator of a Koran teacher in Cilengkrang, Bandung Regency, with the initials AR.

"Today we are still investigating the victims, and the examination is scheduled until Saturday (27/5), God willing, after that we will provide detailed information," said Bandung Police Chief Kombes Kusworo Wibowo as reported by ANTARA, Friday, May 26.

Kusworo said that there had been reports from the victim's parents, witness statements and evidence had been obtained by the police, but for details, the motive and mode of the suspect would be conveyed in the near future.

"There has been witness testimony. We have obtained evidence, the suspect's statement as well, and the suspect has been arrested, we will announce the details later next week," said Kusworo.

He suspected that the perpetrator was desperate to commit his actions because previously he had been a victim of a similar crime so that he became a predator.

"When they become predators, the perpetrators are also desperate to make children victims," he said.

Kusworo also reminded the importance of children's education, following the case of harassment of a number of students by this Koran teacher.

At the same time be aware of persuasion and any lure including money from anyone who has the potential for acts of harassment.

In addition, it is not uncommon for the perpetrators to threaten the victim so that they do not dare to report it, for that the parents are also expected to be proactive so that the children are not traumatized, apart from the police, they will also assist with trauma healing treatment for the victims.

"Let's educate our children, take care of them together. Then you have to be wise on social media. Be careful recording videos, especially with regard to pornography. It can also be criminalized," he said.

It was informed that AR carried out depraved acts on 12 of his students aged between 6-14 years.

Even one victim was married to the perpetrator before his action was revealed.

The perpetrator had also become the target of the residents before being arrested by the police.
