JAKARTA - The Kembangan Police managed to arrest a woman who later went viral on social media for hitting her child on the side of the road in the CNI Kembangan area, West Jakarta. After being questioned by officers, it was discovered that the perpetrator was a street busker.

"The mother (of the perpetrator) has the initials FNB, a resident of Kembangan, West Jakarta. Meanwhile, the child (who is a victim) is her child and they are indeed a busker," said Deputy Head of the Kembangan Police, Banget Sibuea, to reporters, Thursday, May 25.

The woman's arrest was made after the Kembangan Police received a report.

"The woman with the initials FNB is a widow who has divorced her husband. The mother becomes a busker to support her family," he said.

Furthermore, AKP Banget explained, based on information from the Police, the child who was abused had a hyperactive disorder so that FNB abused his child.

"We then gave an appeal to the FNB not to do the same thing again. In addition, we also coordinated with the three pillars to provide social assistance to those concerned to ensure that similar incidents do not happen again," he said.

Previously, a woman suddenly went viral on Instagram social media after being caught molesting a minor in the Kembangan area, West Jakarta. The incident was recorded by an amateur video of a resident who was at the location and tried to break up.

However, the woman who claims to be the mother of the child does not accept being separated by residents. Even though the woman's actions fall into the category of violence against children.

Based on the caption in the video, it is written "There has been a beating of a child who is forced to sing okay for a mother, either her mother or not. Please follow up," wrote the caption.

Meanwhile, from the video footage circulating, the woman actually said a challenge to the residents who intervened.

"My son, it's up to you. You want to call the police, Satpol PP, ABRI, call. Just call the police, all call. The president, all call," said the woman in the amateur video recording
