The North Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati Sumut) Supervision Team is coordinating with the Indonesian Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) regarding the fate of the prosecutor with the initials EKT from the Batu Bara District Attorney (Kejari).

"The North Sumatra Prosecutor's Office of Supervision is coordinating with the Supervision of the Attorney General's Office, what will be the result? We will inform our media friends later," said Head of the Legal Information Section of the North Sumatra Prosecutor's Office, Yos A Tarigan, quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, May 21.

Until now, he said, the North Sumatra Prosecutor's Office of Supervision Team had asked the reporter, namely S as an elementary school teacher (SD) regarding the extortion allegedly carried out by the EKT prosecutor.

"For this reason, related to being removed by the prosecutor or dismissal or transfer or other punishments in the form of demotion and or delaying rights in the form of salaries or rank or other forms of results, we will wait together. We will definitely convey it when it has been officially decided," he said.

Previously, the North Sumatra Prosecutor's Office of Supervision Team was asking for information from reporters at the Asahan Regency Kisaran, precisely at the Asahan Kejari because the domicile of the complainant was in Asahan, besides that S was still sick.

"So with this condition, the team that came to the reporter asked for information and chronology that led to the meeting seen in the video," said Yos.

The EKT prosecutor has been temporarily removed as a functional prosecutor and underwent eight hours of examination at the North Sumatra Prosecutor's Office and an honorary employee at the Batubara Kejari on Monday 15 May.

The purpose of the examination was to question the chronology of the handling of drug cases handled by the EKT prosecutor until they finally went viral on social media suspected of extorting.
