An Effort To Suicide A Construction Worker In Kalideres Was Thwarted By Police Members

JAKARTA - An elderly man with the initials ES (59) was desperate to commit an attempted suicide in a rented house in Koang Village, RT 11/05, Kalideres District, West Jakarta.

The self-employment attempt was thwarted by members of the RW police who live in the area. However, the victim, who worked as a construction worker, was already injured.

When found, the victim with the initials ES was face down and there were cuts on his left arm due to an attempted suicide.

Kapolsek Kalideres Polres Metro Jakarta Barat AKP Syafri Wasdar membenarkan adanya kejadian tersebut. Korban diduga ingin mengakhiri hidupnya di dalam tempat tinggalnya.

"The victim was thwarted by members of the RW police. The victim lived alone without family," said AKP Syafri when confirmed by VOI, Sunday, May 14.

The incident occurred when the victim's neighbor heard the sound of falling objects coming from inside the rented house where the victim lived. When the witness came to the victim's house, the witness heard the sound of people screaming in pain.

Kemudian kasus penemuan itu dilaporkan ke anggota polisi RW Polsek Kalideres. Saat petugas tiba di lokasi, petugas melihat seorang-laki sedang tertekup di dekat kamar mandi.

"We did not find any traces of abuse or violence against the victim. We immediately took the victim to the sacred police hospital for treatment. The victim is suspected of planning to commit suicide," he said.

The victim also did not have an identity and family, then the Kalideres Police coordinated with the DKI Jakarta Social Service for further processing.
