Invited To Go Buy Lebaran Clothes, Underage Girls Are Even Molested By A 25-year-old Man In Kronjo Tangerang

SERANG AR alias Ozen (25) was arrested by officers from the Banten Police Ditreskrimum, Tuesday, May 9 for the sexual abuse of minors. The Head of Public Relations of the Banten Police, Kombes Pol. Didik Hariyanto, explained that the modus operandi of the perpetrator was to offer new clothes for the victim. Didik said, the victim was brought by Ozen on Tuesday, April 18, at around 13.00 WIB.

At first, the victim was invited by perpetrator AR at one of the boarding houses in Kronjo District, Tangerang Regency. Before carrying out the action, the perpetrator picked up the victim on the pretext of wanting to take the victim to buy new clothes to celebrate Eid al-Fitr. However, instead of buying clothes, the victim was taken to the perpetrator's boarding house," explained Didik in a written statement, Wednesday, May 10.

Didik said that the incident was reported on April 25, 2023 by the victim's family.

"Based on police report Number 96 on April 25, 2023, investigators pursued the perpetrator and succeeded in arresting the perpetrator on Tuesday, May 9 in Taktakan District, Serang City," said Didik again.

In front of investigators, the perpetrator has admitted his actions. To prove the crime case, the police secured a number of evidences in the form of 1 motorbike, victim's underwear and victim's clothes.

The perpetrator was charged with Article 81 in conjunction with Article 76D of Law Number 17 of 2016 concerning Stipulation of Government Regulation in Lieu of Law Number 1 of 2016 concerning the Second Amendment to Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection. The perpetrator is threatened with a maximum imprisonment of 15 years.

"Currently, the perpetrator is still being held at the Banten Police Detention Center for investigation," said Didik.
