JAKARTA - President Ganjar Pranowo's candidate will head home to the birth of the first President of the Republic of Indonesia, Soekarno or Bung Karno in Surabaya. The moment was shared by Ganjar through his Instagram account.

In the video, Ganjar Pranowo can be seen surrounded by a number of PDI-P cadres and greeted directly by Bung Karno's grandson, Puti Guntur Soekarno.

In the upload, Ganjar also talked about the history of changing Soekarno's name. He said that the proclaimer had the name Kusno in the past.

It is known that Soekarno's name change is the same as Ganjar. The governor of Central Java changed his name when he was a child due to illness. Who would have thought, Ganjar Pranowo used to be named Ganjar Sungkowo.

On the other hand, through a visit to Bung Karno's birth home, Ganjar Pranowo wanted to absorb the spirit of his hero's nationalism.
