Peaceful Action Rejects The Health Bill In Gorontalo Tak Ganggu Service

GORONTALO - Peaceful action related to the rejection of the Draft Health Law (RUU) carried out by five professional organizations of medical and health personnel in the city of Gorontalo, did not interfere with health services in the area. Chairman of the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) Gorontalo Dr. Budianto Kaharu said the peaceful demonstration was carried out by the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI), the Indonesian Dental Association, the Indonesian National Nurses Association, the Indonesian Midwives Association, and the Indonesian Pharmacists Association. At the peaceful demonstration, the participants of the action read the declaration in their respective agencies, a moment of silence, distribution of flowers and leaflets to patients and families and the general public in the work unit. "Conducting a demonstration without leaving the obligation as an ASN or employee and cannot underestimate the duties of a professional," said Dr Budi as quoted by Antara, Monday, May 8. He guaranteed that no ASN violates discipline and no ASN or professional staff neglects patients. The purpose of the action, he said, included stopping the discussion of the Health Bill which was considered to threaten the right to democracy, the people's healthy rights, the right to welfare and protection of the health profession. This is also, according to him, as a moral support for the extraordinary struggle of professional organizations at the central level, strengthening of existence, and commitment of five professional organizations, as well as socialization to the community, regarding the content and impact of the Health Bill.

He requested that the discussion of the Health Bill involve professional organizations for the benefit of the community.
