East Kalimantan Provincial Government Increases Non-ASN Teacher Incentives Of IDR 1 Million Per Month

SAMARINDA - The East Kalimantan Provincial Government pays great attention to the welfare of educators, especially non-state civil servants (ASN) teachers by increasing incentives of up to IDR 1 million per month.

Deputy Governor of East Kalimantan Hadi Mulyadi said previously the non-ASN teachers only received incentives of IDR 300 thousand per month.

"Alhamdulillah, East Kalimantan is prosperous. Teacher incentives in the East Kalimantan Provincial Government are currently the largest in Indonesia," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 3.

He explained that the policy was a form of concern and concern for the East Kalimantan Provincial Government during the leadership with Governor Isran Noor.

Moreover, he said, the program was in accordance with the governor's vision and mission and the brave deputy governor for sovereign East Kalimantan, namely sovereign missions in the development of human resources with noble and competitive character, especially women, youth, and people with disabilities.

Hadi explained that concern and attention are not only for public school teachers who are the obligations of local governments. Those who are assisted by the Ministry of Religion, such as Madrasah Aliah Negeri (MAN), are also considered.

"If it is prosperous in the form of luxury, of course not. However, currently according to data from the Ministry of Education and Culture and surveys in Indonesia, East Kalimantan Province is the largest in Indonesia. Moreover, this condition certainly affects the level of the East Kalimantan Human Development Index (HDI). Therefore, East Kalimantan's HDI is ranked third in Indonesia," he said.

The Deputy Governor assessed that the implementation of education programs in East Kalimantan is one of the best in Indonesia, as well as the scholarship programs provided are also the largest in Indonesia.

"We hope that in the future human resources will really be of high quality. Don't lose from outside East Kalimantan," said Hadi.

Head of the East Kalimantan Education and Culture Office, Muhammad Kurniawan, said that the provision of incentives was based on the Decree of the Governor of East Kalimantan numbered 420/K.215/2019 concerning the determination of the additional amount of income for Teacher Civil Servants, Supervisors and Education Personnel of SMA, SMK and SLB of East Kalimantan Province.

"Before Isran-Hadi's leadership, only IDR 300 thousand per teacher and education personnel per month. Now, additional P3K income of IDR 1.25 million and non-ASN of IDR 1 million, including MAN teachers throughout East Kalimantan are given," he said.

For private teachers at the SMA, SMK, and SLB levels, IDR 1 million per month.
