Political Safari, Prabowo Will Receive Wiranto's Visit Today

JAKARTA - Gerindra Party Chairman Prabowo Subianto will receive a visit from the Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Council (Wantimpres) General TNI (Ret.) Wiranto at his residence in Bojong Koneng Village, Hambalang, Bogor, West Java, Monday afternoon, May 1.

"It's true, it is planned that this afternoon Pak Wiranto will go to Pak Prabowo's residence in Bojong Koneng," said Deputy General Chairperson (Waketum) of the Gerindra Party, Sugiono, quoted from ANTARA.

Sugiono said that the visit of the former Chairman of the People's Conscience Party (Hanura) was intended in the context of friendship.

"The visit to friendship is from him," said the chairman of the Gerindra MPR RI Party faction.

However, he was reluctant to specify what discussions would be held at Wiranto's meeting with Prabowo.

"I don't know yet, I haven't met you yet. I think there will be a lot to talk about, we'll see," he said.

Earlier on Monday afternoon, Wiranto visited the DPP Office of the United Development Party (PPP), Central Jakarta, to submit a list of potential legislative candidates for former Hanura Party cadres who could be promoted by PPP in the 2024 election.

"Pak Wiranto will hand over the potential names of Hanura's former (cadres) to run as candidates for PPP," said PPP DPP chairman Achmad Baidowi in a statement received in Jakarta, Monday.

Wiranto arrived at the PPP DPP office in the Menteng area, at 12.55 WIB, and was immediately greeted by the Acting (Plt.) General Chairperson of PPP Muhamad Mardiono by wearing a swab on Wiranto's neck.
