JAKARTA - The Immigration Office Class I Special for TPI Ngurah Rai, Bali deported a mother with the initials RAC (43) and her son VCR, a British citizen for violating the residence permit where the two exceeded the stay permit period (overstay). Head of the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office, Sugito, in his official statement in Denpasar, Bali, Saturday said the two had been overstayed for 19 days and were unable to pay the fine.

He said that before being deported, the immigration authorities had first conducted an examination of the RAC to obtain information on the whereabouts, activities while in Bali and the duration of the residence permit concerned in the territory of Indonesia. Based on the examination of the Immigration party, the British foreigner entered Bali since January 29, 2023 using a residence permit valid until March 29, 2023. During the examination, it was also revealed that at first, RAC came along with her husband and daughter. RAC's husband is known to be of Chile's citizenship and paid the expense that has been set towards Vietnam in order to work. RAC only found out that he had overstayed after being explained by officers and the person concerned was unable to pay the expense incurred on the overstay. RAC and his daughter VRC were also given immigration administrative action in the form of deportation and deterrence. "Against RAC and her daughter were subject to Article 78 paragraph (2) of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration. For the deportation action, it has been carried out through Ngurah Rai International Airport using the Malaysia Airlines (MH088050) aircraft at 16.25 WITA with the Denpasar-Kuala Lumpur-Doha-Manchester route," said Head of the Immigration Office Ngurah Rai Sugito quoted from ANTARA, Saturday, April 29.

Meanwhile, Head of the Regional Office (Kakanwil) of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) Bali Anggiat Napitupulu said that the Immigration ranks within the Bali Ministry of Law and Human Rights Regional Office continue to work to monitor foreigners. Supervision measures such as immigration patrols will continue to be carried out to curb foreign nationals in the Bali region. "We have also put an appeal at strategic points so that foreigners comply with the laws in force in Indonesia. If there are foreigners who violate legal regulations, we are ready to take firm action such as deportation," said Anggiat.
