Central Jakarta Metro Police conducted an investigation regarding the death of a table tennis disabled athlete (right hand disabled) on the edge of the Juanda Station flyover (KA) which borders Gambir and Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta.

The victim was identified as David Jacobs (46), a resident of Cilandak, South Jakarta. The victim suffered injuries to the back of the head. While confirmed separately, the Sawah Besar Police Chief, AKP Dhanar Dhono Vernandhie, explained that the scene of the case was on the upper elevated train rail line. The victim is an athlete.

"The information is that the victim is an athlete. Regarding the safety of the railroad tracks, that is the domain of KAI. The handling of the case is already at the Central Jakarta Police," he briefly told VOI.
