Today's Official Manual Ticket Applies Again In NTB

West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police has again implemented a violation or manual ticket as of today, Friday, April 14.

Director of Traffic (Dirlantas) Polda NTB Kombes Pol Djoni Widodo said the application of manual ticketing was in accordance with the order of the National Police Headquarters (Mabes).

"So, we officially started today again imposing manual ticketing in accordance with the direction of Kakorlantas at the National Police Headquarters a few days ago. This applies in all regions, not only NTB," he said in Mataram, NTB, Friday, April 14, which was confiscated by Antara.

The main consideration of the National Police Headquarters is again applying manual ticketing, he said, seeing the number of traffic accidents which is quite high.

The lack of awareness of motorists for discipline while driving is also considered as one of the factors causing it.

Especially for the NTB area, the surveillance cameras or CCTV from electronic ticketing devices have not been maximized. For Mataram City alone, Djoni assured that there were only five points.

"So, it is indeed seen that this manual ticket is still effective in suppressing cases of traffic violations," he said.

He also assured all NTB Police Traffic Unit officers that they had received the mandate to continue to work professionally in implementing manual ticketing. Djoni emphasized that officers in the field should avoid the practice of illegal levies or extortion.

In implementing this manual ticket, Djoni also hopes for community support by asking to continue to obey traffic rules and drive safely and comfortably.
