Check Preparation For Easter Mass At Solo Catholic Church, Ganjar: Ready And We Pray For Smooth

Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo visited the Church of Santo Antonius Purbayan Surakarta, Saturday, April 8. Ganjar's arrival at the oldest church in Surakarta City was to check preparations for the Easter Mass.

Ganjar arrived at the church at around 11.30 WIB. When he arrived, Ganjar saw that the officers were busy arranging chairs and other preparations.

Not long after, the priests at the church came to welcome Ganjar. They then invited Ganjar to check the inside of the church, to the small rooms where the congregation was worshiping. Ganjar was also invited into the Paturan room to see the existing preparations.

"So we see the preparations of our Christian brothers and sisters who are preparing for the Easter Mass. Later, there will be two times of worship here, afternoon and evening. I see the preparations are quite thorough," said Ganjar.

Ganjar said there would be around 4000 worshipers who worship tonight. That number will be divided into two worship sessions, so it's not too crowded.

"Earlier I also met the children who wanted to perform. I saw how happy they were. And of course we are to look for Mangayubagyo. We pray that the worship will run smoothly, the Easter will run smoothly and we are all happy," he said.

Meanwhile, Father Budi said preparations for today's Easter Mass had been carried out long ago. This is because the Easter celebration began on Palm Sunday, a week ago.

"So we are ready because since Palma Sunday we have prepared, until the 9th at its peak celebration," he said.

Father Budi was also very happy with Ganjar's presence who directly checked the preparations for Easter at the church.

"I'm very happy, this is a form of Pak Ganjar's attention to us. Thank you very much," he said.
