JAKARTA - Intelligence and Security Observer Ngasiman Djoyonegoro highlighted the importance of the synergy between the TNI and Polri in guarding general elections (Pemilu) as part of the manifestation of sovereign state security and defense institutions.

"The synergy between the TNI and Polri is an important pillar that must be upright in the midst of the five-year grand contestation," said Simon, Ngasiman Djoyonegoro's nickname, quoted from Antara, Saturday.

Because in the past period, Simon continued, in 2019 to be precise, the synergy between the TNI and Polri managed to fully oversee the running of the democratic party.

The TNI and Polri can make this success a reference next year, namely in the 2024 General Election. The public really hopes that this process will be maintained and sustainable in order to realize the value contained in Pancasila.

"The solidity and synergy of the TNI-Polri are part of the manifestation of sovereign state security and defense institutions, as well as strengthening the implementation contained in the 3rd Pancasila Sila, namely 'Indonesian Unity'," said Simon.

On the other hand, Director of the Indonesian Survey Flow (ASI) Ali Rif'an explained a number of views on strategic situations, especially those that developed strongly at the grassroots. According to him, today's society has been more responsive to electoral political issues.

"In this era of borderless information traffic, our society has a higher knowledge of holding elections," said Ali Rif.

Ali also said that stakeholders related to the implementation of elections must optimize the latest election socialization system in order to target millennials as the most voters.

"Strengthening the system by stakeholders, (in this case) especially the KPU, must be able to present socialization packaged for young groups as the most voters who reach 55 to 60 percent, and internet and social media users who reach 200 million users," said Ali.
