David's Attorney Considers The Prosecutor's Demand Against AG To Be Maximum For Children Faced With Law

JAKARTA - Attorney David Ozora, Mellisa Anggriani, appreciated the Public Prosecutor (JPU) who demanded the defendant AG to be maximal, namely the threat of 4 years of guidance in accordance with the article that ensnared him, article 355 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph (1) 1 of the Criminal Code.

"We appreciate what was conveyed by the public prosecutor where these four years are the maximum for children," Mellisa told reporters at the South Jakarta District Court, Wednesday, April 5.

Mellisa hopes that with this demand, AG will repeat it again in the future.

"We hope that later the verdict from the panel of judges will also be in accordance with the guidance of the legal prosecutor, namely 4 years for children," he said.

The Public Prosecutor (JPU) charged AG, or Mario Dandy's girlfriend, with Article 355 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code, the threat of 4 years in prison. This was directly said by the Head of the South Jakarta District Attorney's Office (Kajari) Syarief Sulaeman.

"So the prosecutor's claim is to declare the child in conflict with the law guilty of committing a criminal act of Article 355 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code in other words a criminal act of severe persecution with a plan," Syarief told reporters at the South Jakarta District Court (PN), Wednesday, April 5.

Syarief explained that the aggravating thing in the lawsuit was because Mario Dandy's girlfriend was involved in a severe assault case that resulted in the victim being seriously injured.

"Obviously the aggravating thing is certain because the actions of children in conflict with this law cause serious injuries," he said.

"And there are fewer mitigating reasons, so we put the prosecution in LPKA for 4 years, the maximum threat is for 12-year-old adults for children to be cut by half 6 years," he continued.

He revealed that AG will be placed in the Special Child Development Institution (LPKA).

"Then the person concerned is one of them being sentenced to a criminal sentence at LPKA for 4 years," he said.
