JAKARTA - Member of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the Gerindra faction, Habiburokhman, highlighted the determination of the suspect former official of the Directorate General of Taxes, Rafael Alun Trisambodo by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) regarding allegations of gratification and bribery. This member of the legal commission considers that the determination of the suspect against Rafael Alun can serve as a warning to other officials to carry out their duties in accordance with statutory regulations. "This is indeed a warning for state officials to carry out their duties in accordance with statutory regulations," said Habiburokhman at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, March 30. Because according to him, any violations that have been hidden for years will eventually be revealed as well. "Because all forms of violations that can be hidden can be opened like now," he continued. Furthermore, the Gerindra legislator for the DKI Jakarta electoral district stated that his party would monitor the determination of the suspect against the tax official. The reason, he said, was that his party also wanted to find out more about the alleged gratification case from Rafael Alun. Where at this time, the case has a domino effect on his institution. "We want to know more, maybe in the near future there will be a more detailed explanation of the bribe, in what case. Then whether it's accumulation or just one incident, we want to wait," said Habiburokhman. Previously, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) named former official of the Directorate General of Taxes at the Ministry of Finance Rafael Alun Trisambodo as a suspect in the alleged receipt of gratuities. Evidence of this impingent practice is currently being held by investigators. "We found at least two pieces of evidence of alleged corruption," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters at the KPK's Red and White House, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, March 30. It is suspected that the anti-graft commission was received by Rafael regarding the tax audit at the Directorate General of Taxes at the Ministry of Finance in 2011-2023.
