"If the convict does not have sufficient property to cover the replacement money, he will be replaced with a prison sentence of one year," said Abdul Hakim.

Abdul Hakim said the convict, Yefer Maksimadel Laitabun, was released by law on 15 May 2015 before the Public Prosecutor at the Kupang District Attorney's Office received a detention order from the Indonesian Supreme Court.

He said that during the legal process, the convicted person Yefer Maksimadel Laitabun was out of detention and after the Supreme Court's decision was made he was still out of detention.

"When the executing attorney was about to carry out the execution, the convict fled and was named on the wanted list," said Abdul Hakim.
