JAKARTA - Deputy President Ma'ruf Amin said the government continues to be fully committed to encouraging village development, one of which is through the disbursement of more than 10 percent of APBN funds to be distributed to the regions.

This was conveyed by the Vice President in his press statement after attending the Asri Nusantara 2023 Village Day event at Makmur Village, Pangkalan Kerinci, Pelalawan, Riau, Monday, March 20.

"I think the government already has a strong commitment to developing villages. According to his calculations, it has been more than IDR 400 trillion since 2015. So it's actually more than 10 percent (state budget funds)," the Vice President said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, March 20.

The Vice President said various ministries also presented their work programs to rural communities, such as the Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration (PDTT), Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing, Ministry of Health, and Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology.

"For those in the Ministry of PDTT, it's IDR 70 trillion, but from other ministries that also focus on villages, it's more than IDR 400 trillion. If you count it as a whole, it's huge," he said.
