SEMARANG - Head of the Development Division for the Development of Traditional Medical Medicines and Medical Services of PB Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) Ina Rosalina reminded that the use of traditional drugs must meet standards.
"Traditional drugs that are good and meet standards are those that have received certification from the BPOM (Food and Drug Supervisory Agency)," he said in a statement received in Semarang, Antara, Sunday, March 19.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the seminar committee Budi Palarto explained that the seminar was an IDI PB activity in collaboration with IDI Central Java Region to transform traditional medicines that were adapted to technological advances.

Fitofarmaka is a preparation of natural ingredients that have been scientifically proven to be safe and efficacious by preclinical testing and clinical trials, the raw materials and finished products have been standardized.
"Hopefully, this activity can be a recommendation to be regularly held not only once so that fitofarmaka knowledge can be sustainable and the benefits will be felt," he concluded.
Representative from the Chairperson of IDI for the Central Java Region, Doctor Sarwoko Oetomo, hopes that Indonesia's natural wealth can be used for daily medicine, of course, which has passed the study, including side effects.
"Let's make the best use of Indonesia's wealth that we have for traditional medicine which has minimal side effects," he said.
Meanwhile, the Secretary General of PB IDI Ulul Albab expressed his appreciation for IDI for the Central Java Region which has been able to hold seminars attended by hundreds of doctors.
