Tangerang City Community's COVID-19 Antibody Claims Health Office Has 100 Percent

TANGERANG - The Tangerang City Government of Banten through the Health Office said that based on the results of the third survey series, the local community's COVID-19 antibodies were at 100 percent due to the optimization of the vaccine implemented.

"This immunity can be formed from several things. First of course, following vaccinations to boosters, and it can also go through a natural process after being exposed to COVID-19 and their immune system being formed," said Head of the Health Service, Dr. Dini Anggraeni, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, March 17.

He said the first survey was conducted in December 2021 with a result of 98.1 percent. Then the second survey was in July 2022 with 100 percent achievement.

This figure is higher than the third surveyed Tangerang Regency, which is still at 99.8 percent and South Tangerang City at 99.9 percent.

"Antibodi COVID-19 from people who undergo booster vaccines, the increase is three times compared to people who do not vaccinate or do not vaccinate boosters," he said.

Then based on data as of March 13, 2023, compared to case data as of January 1, 2023, positive cases fell 60 percent to three cases from five cases.

"Meanwhile, active cases fell 59.9 percent to 51 cases from 127 cases and the results of the SAR-COV-2 antibody survey in January 2023 showed that 100 percent of the people in the Tangerang City area already have immunity," he said.

The Tangerang City Health Office noted that the achievement of COVID-19 vaccination in Tangerang City had reached 1,662,920 people for dose one, 1,371,651 people for dose two, 853,104 people for the first booster and 37,498 people for the second booster.

"Although the COVID-19 antibodies for the residents of Tangerang City from the third survey sero are already 100 percent, booster vaccination must still be encouraged. So it is important to complete the vaccination. Even though the results of this survey show the immunity condition of the Tangerang City population is good, we still need to emphasize and complete the vaccination status of Tangerang City," said Dr. Dini.
