Hit-And-Run Kills Ilham, Konawe Police Chase The Fleeing L300 Box Car

KONAWE - Konawe Traffic Police, Southeast Sulawesi Police is investigating a hit-and-run case that killed a motorbike rider in Anggalomoare Village, Anggolomoare District, Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi.

Head of Traffic Unit of Konawe Police Iptu Ridwan Koto said the hit-and-run incident in Anggalomoare District, Konawe Regency occurred on Wednesday, March 15 at around 08.16.WITA.

"The hit-and-run occurred in Anggalomoare Village, Anggalomoare District, Konawe Regency at 08.16 WITA," said Iptu Ridwan Koto from Antara, Friday, March 17.

The former head of the Kendari Police Narcotics Investigation Unit explained that the traffic accident killed a Honda CRF motorbike driver without a motorized vehicle number (TNKB) driven by a man named Ilham.

Meanwhile, the victim's opponent, the L300 Box car, fled and is still under investigation by the police.

"The vehicle involved in the Honda CRF accident without the TNKB was with the L300 Box car," continued Iptu Ridwan Koto.

The accident started when Ilham's Honda CRF motorbike was moving from Unaaha to Kendari City.

"The motorbike that Ilham was driving from Unaaha to Kendari, from the opposite direction, collided with a black L300 Box car," said Iptu Ridwan Koto.

He said that the L300 Box car, which was moving from the direction of Kendari to Unahaa, overturned a box car in front of it and immediately hit the motorbike driven by Ilham.

"So, the car that was going from Kendari to Unaaha, while on the straight road, it bounced over the boxcar in front of it, so the L300 Box car hit a motorcyclist and immediately fled," he explained.

The man born in Sumatra said that the Honda CRF motorbike rider was injured and died on the way when he was taken to the Bahteramas Hospital (RS), Kendari City.

He said that his party had also conducted an investigation into the hit-and-run case.

"We are currently conducting an investigation, we have CCTV camera footage of the incident," he said.
