The DKI Provincial Government Does Not Know Kuncoro Was Entangled In A Corruption Case In Social Assistance When He Appointed As Director Of Transjakarta

JAKARTA - Plt. Head of the DKI Jakarta Regional-Owned Enterprises Development Agency (BP BUMD) Fitria Rahadiani claimed that her party did not know that Kuncoro was involved in a legal case when he was elected as President Director of PT Transjakarta.

Kuncoro was appointed boss of Transjakarta on January 11, 2023. He resigned from his position on Monday, March 13. After Kuncoro resigned, it was only revealed that Kuncoro was a suspect in the alleged social assistance corruption.

Fitria suspects that Kuncoro was named a suspect in the social assistance procurement case when Kuncoro had worked as Director of Transjakarta. The DKI Provincial Government did not know when the KPK conducted an investigation before making Kuncoro a suspect.

"I don't know. In our process, the assessment process is several stages, it started at the end of last year. So, indeed, our process has gone through an assessment in accordance with the governor's regulations. Maybe, (there is) a process at the KPK or other law enforcement officers, indeed it is impossible for us to reach that area," Fitria said when met in East Jakarta, Thursday, March 16.

Fitria also admitted that she did not know that Kuncoro had been prevented from leaving the country from February 10. The DKI Provincial Government, Fitria said, only found out that Kuncoro was not allowed to go abroad by the Directorate General of Immigration the day after the person concerned resigned.

"We knew (Kungoro was prevented from leaving the country) when it was announced," he said.

Moreover, when submitting the resignation letter to the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono, Kuncoro revealed the reason because he has urgent personal matters.

"If the official letter is submitted to the DKI Provincial Government, it is stated that there are personal matters and urgent families. So, we follow the official letter, which then the next day or the next day there will be a determination (of the suspect)," he explained.

As is known, Kuncoro resigned from the position of Director of Transjakarat as of March 13. After resigning from his position, it was revealed that Kuncoro had been prevented from leaving the country since February.

Kemudian, terungkap Kuncoro kini jadi tersangka kasus korupsi bantuan sosial (bansos) beras untuk Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) di Kementerian Sosial (Kemensos). Mantan Direktur Utama PT Bhanda Ghara Reksa (BGR) itu dijerat bersama lima orang lainnya.

"Yes, there are also other parties," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri when confirmed by reporters.

It was not specified who Ali was referring to. The KPK will only announce the suspects and their actions when the detention efforts are carried out after the evidence is deemed sufficient.

"When we consider this investigation to have been sufficient to collect the evidence, the identities of the parties designated as suspects, the chronology of alleged criminal acts as well as articles that we suspect will be conveyed to the public," he said.
