Police Examined Corolla Altis Driver After Crashing Cyclists To Death At Villa Regency Bintaro

TANGERANG Police examined the driver of Altis Corolla, SP (46) who hit cyclist YB (42) to death on Jalan Sumatra, Villa Bintaro Regency, Pondok Aren, South Tangerang.

"Yes, that's right, an investigation is being carried out," said Head of Traffic Unit of the South Tangerang Police, Justinus Yunus Kaurmin via text message, Friday, March 17.

The victim's younger brother, Tasya, admitted that he could not speak much about the accident case. According to him, the whole decision is in the hands of the victim's husband.

"Later, what will be her husband's decision, I will just follow as a sister. We will focus on Tahlilan first," said Tasya when met at the funeral home, in the Pondok Aren area, South Tangerang.

A female cyclist with the initials YB died after being hit by a Toyota Corolla Altis driven by SP at Villa Bintaro Regency, Jalan Sumatra, Pondok Aren, South Tangerang.

Head of Traffic Unit of South Tangerang Police, IPDA Justinus Yunus Kaurmin, confirmed the incident. The incident occurred on Thursday, March 16, morning.

"Toyota Corolla Altis' car lost control and crashed into a bicycle driven by YB in front of it until it was dragged about 20 meters long," Yunus said when confirmed, Thursday, March 16.

After being dragged 20 meters the car stopped, because it hit a pole at the scene.

"The victim suffered head injuries, and was then taken to the Bintaro RSPI. But unfortunately his life could not be saved or died at the Bintaro RSPI," he concluded.
