Corruption In The Land Certificate Of The South Sumatra Provincial Government, Kajari Holds Palembang BPN Employees And Head Of Talang Kelapa Village.

The District Attorney (Kejari) has detained three suspects in the alleged corruption case in the issuance of certificates on land assets of the South Sumatra Provincial Government (Pemrov) covering an area of 11.648 hectares.

The three suspects are an employee of the Palembang City National Land Agency (BPN) with the initials Ms, the Head of Talang Kelapa Village with the initials AM, and from the private sector with the initials Tr.

"The detention of the suspects will be carried out for the next 20 days starting on Tuesday (March 14) night, until investigators complete the case file for further trial at trial," said Head of the Palembang Kejari Intelligence Section Fandie Hasibuan in Palembang, Wednesday, March 15, as reported by Antara.

Fandie said the three were named suspects after investigators obtained complete evidence reinforced by witness and expert statements.

The suspects were detained at the Class 1A Detention Center (Rutan) Pakjo Palembang.

Previously, the Prosecutor's Office examined 33 people as witnesses to investigate this case. Those examined include Talang Kelapa Village employees and Palembang BPN employees.

Febdie explained that the case began in 1983 when the South Sumatra Provincial Government had assets in the form of land on Jalan H Sulaiman Amin, Talang Kelapa Village, Alang-alang Lebar District, Palembang.

The holdings were later strengthened after the certificate was issued Number: 01/19 2004, with the status of Use Rights on behalf of the Provincial Government of South Sumatra covering an area of 11.648 hectares. It has even been recorded in the inventory card of goods belonging to the South Sumatra Provincial Government, and used as a heavy equipment storage place for the Public Works Office of Bina Marga, South Sumatra Province," he said.

However, said Fendie, the Palembang City National Land Agency in 2018 actually issued a certificate of ownership rights on behalf of individuals on land owned by the South Sumatra Provincial Government, as to which evidence they obtained and will be presented in the trial later.

The issuance of the certificate was carried out through a free land certificate program in complete systematic land registration (PTSL) issued by the Palembang National Land Agency in 2018.

"To prove the violation, a 2020 birthday measurement was taken. From there, legal facts were obtained that the certificate of ownership rights in the individual name was indeed included in the land assets belonging to the South Sumatra Provincial Government," he said.

He added, based on the results of an audit from a team of experts in state financial supervision received by the investigative team, from the issuance of certificates allegedly carried out by the three suspects had caused state losses of Rp1.3 billion.

For his actions, he said, investigators ensnared the suspects in violating Article 2 paragraph (1), Article 3, Article 12 Juncto Article 18 of Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning the eradication of criminal acts of corruption, Juncto Article 55 Paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code.
