3,043 Priority 1 PPPK Applicants Have Not Received Placement, Kemendikbudristek: Wait For Each Regional Government

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) stated that as many as 3,043 applicants who have participated in the selection of Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK) will remain a priority 1 (P1).

"A total of 3,043 P1 applicants who this year have not had the opportunity to get placement, we still prioritize them to become PPPK ASN," said Director General of Teachers and Education Personnel (Dirjen GTK) of the Ministry of Education and Culture Nunuk Suryani in a statement in Jakarta, Wednesday, March 15, quoted by Antara.

Nunuk also explained that there were 3,043 applicants with P1 status who this year did not have the opportunity to get placement based on the announcement letter of the Director General of GTK.

This is part of a process that is in accordance with the rules, namely the rebuttal process in the selection where there are 3,043 other P1 applicants who have better assessment criteria to get the placement.

He added that there are four important points that need to be understood together regarding applicants with P1 status who have not received placement.

"There are four important points that need to be understood. First, the cancellation that occurs is part of the rebuttal process in the selection. Basically, only the placement is canceled, not the graduation," he said. Second, these applicants remain P1 status. This means that they will still be prioritized to become PPPK ASNs. "Thirdly, these applicants will automatically be included in the selection process in 2023 using P1 status. Fourth, these applicants will not be shifted from their parent school," he said.

Furthermore, Nunuk gave encouragement to the applicants who have not received the placement. "To 3,043 P1 applicants who ultimately do not get placement, there is no need to worry, Mother and Father do not need to take the test again and just wait for placement by their respective local governments in 2023," he said. Director General of GTK Kemendikbudristek, he said, also encouraged local governments to jointly have a high commitment and actively participate.

"We urge local governments that have not submitted formations according to the needs of teachers, to submit formations. We all want teachers to get placements of formations according to regional needs and obtain decent income," he said. The National Selection Committee (Panselnas) has announced the results of the 2022 PPPK Revenue selection for teacher functional positions on Thursday, March 9. A total of more than 250,300 teachers passed the selection and got placements. Meanwhile, in the previous year there were more than 300,000 who had received placements. "Thus, there are more than 550,000 honorary teachers who have become ASN PPPK teachers," he said.
