PKB Calls Prabowo-Ganjar Duet Discourse Speculative, Claims Are Getting More Intimate With Cak Imin

Deputy Chairperson of PKB Jazilul Fawaid assessed that the discourse on the duet of Gerindra Chairman Prabowo Subianto and Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo, only speculative issues could disrupt the Greater Indonesia Awakening Coalition (KKIR). According to him, Ganjar, who is a PDIP cadre, will definitely reject the discourse. "It's a speculative discourse and can disrupt the focus and direction of the PKB-Gerindra coalition. Try asking Mr. Ganjar who is also a PDIP cadre, I'm sure he will reject the duet discourse," Jazilul told reporters, Monday, March 13. The Deputy Chairperson of the MPR hopes that both Gerindra and PKB will maintain their commitment that the presidential and vice presidential candidates are under the authority of the two chairmen. Namely Prabowo Subianto as chairman of Gerindra and Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin as chairman of PKB. "My hope is that we respect each other and maintain our commitments, after all, it is clear that the mandate is in Prabowo and Cak Imin's hands," said Jazilul. Jazilul emphasized that so far there has been no discourse from the two political parties to leave the coalition even though they are both exploring communication with other political parties. Instead, he said, the relationship between Cak Imin and Prabowo was even more intimate ahead of the determination of the presidential and vice-presidential candidates. "So far, there has been no discourse about leaving the coalition, it's even more intimate. Prabowo-Cak Imin met at the Bumi Shalawat Sidoarjo Islamic boarding school," said Jazilul. Previously, Deputy Chairman of the Gerindra Party Board of Trustees Hashim Djojohadikusumo opened up opportunities for the Prabowo-Ganjar duet. This was after Prabowo and Ganjar accompanied President Joko Widodo or Jokowi during a working visit (Kunker) in Kebumen, Central Java. "I think it is open that Mr. Ganjar wants to join Pak Prabowo with the notes of Mr. Prabowo as a presidential candidate, I think it is impossible for Mr. Prabowo to run for vice president," said Hashim at the Joang 45 Museum, Jakarta, Sunday, (12/3/2023). According to Hashim, this is because Prabowo is much more senior than Ganjar. "Pak Prabowo is much more senior, fifteen years older, his experience is different. I think if Pak Ganjar wants to join, he wants to be paired with Pak Prabowo. I think we are open to it, Pak Ganjar as a vice presidential candidate," he said.
