Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo hopes that the Working Meeting of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of Central Java Province in 2023 can respond to various community problems. Starting from religious harmony, to reducing stunting rates through religious extensions.

"I am happy. There were two things that attracted me. One, the Ministry of Religion's contribution in reducing stunting rates. Two, earlier also conveyed by Gus Minister (Yaqut Cholil Qoumas) to maintain integrity and not corruption. This is the top," said Ganjar after giving directions and opening the Working Meeting of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of Central Java at Grand Mercure Hotel, Solo Baru, Sukoharjo Regency, Sunday (12/3/2023).

In an effort to reduce stunting, the role of the Ministry of Religion's Regional Office is at the forefront of religious instructors. Religious instructors in Central Java have reached the village level, even the neighborhood unit. Religious instructors can be the driving force for the Jo Kawin Boy program.

"Where is it located? It turned out that as soon as I called religious instructors there were applause, they were here. If it could encourage the Jo Kawin Boy program to be able to hold our children from getting married early, I think it's great. This is usually a female victim. So, religious instructors are very important. It turns out that the Ministry of Religion can have a very big role in reducing stunting rates," he explained.

Ganjar also appreciated the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of Central Java Province for making many achievements and even being a model in terms of religious harmony. In terms of business management, the Ministry of Religion also deserves thumbs up, because it is able to achieve many awards.

"Then the stories of government management that are not good can be done a response and action by bringing high integrity values," said Ganjar.

One more thing that is in the spotlight of Ganjar is how the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of Central Java Province manages religious harmony. How between believers and religious leaders can communicate with each other properly like the roles played by FKUB. The goal is to create a safe and comfortable religious life.

"Pak Musta'in (Head of the Central Java Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion) has a Marun Red movement which then creates religious harmony even up to the RT level," he said.

Regarding this movement, the Central Java Provincial Government and the Central Java Ministry of Religion Regional Office have synergized. Ganjar has issued Pergub number 37 of 2022 concerning the synergy of strengthening religious harmony in Central Java. Currently, there are 19 villages that are looking for a model of the Friendly Commemorating Movement for the Rukun Community (Merah Marun).

"After finishing (Diklat) came to me asking for a Pergub. I made it and it has started to be implemented in 19 villages. Hopefully, religious harmony will also start from the smallest areas such as RT, village. If that's done, it doesn't need to come from above. That requires figures to be able to appear everyone," he concluded.
