Pushed Forward In The 2024 Governor Election, Solok Regent Talks About Stagnant Progress Of West Sumatra

SOLOK - Solok Regent Epyardi Asda will consider and study the proposal from the DPW of the West Sumatra National Mandate Party (PAN) which encouraged him to run in the 2024 West Sumatra Governor Election (Pilgub) as a candidate for governor.

"I thank my friends in PAN who paid attention to me. Political people certainly want the best for their cadres," said Epyardi in Solok, reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, March 7.

He said that the aspirations of the PAN cadres who proposed him to run in the gubernatorial election would be a matter of concern and consideration for him. According to him as a PAN administrator, he will study the proposals from all cadres.

"Now we will raise the name of the party first. Of course, I will do as much as possible first to realize the vision and mission of making Solok Regency the best in West Sumatra. At the moment I am focusing on working first as much as possible to fulfill the people's wishes," he said.

According to him, if he has succeeded in doing something for the people of Solok Regency, of course people will see his capacity, intellect, and integrity. The public will judge.

"That's why being a leader is not easy and not everyone can. You have to be tested and you have to have talent. So we'll see how good it is," he said.

Epyardi conveyed that the resolution that will be carried out in Solok Regency this year is to continue to innovate in the fields of economy, tourism, agriculture, and education in order to create the best Solok Regency in West Sumatra.

One of them in Nagari Alahan Panjang will develop tourism and facilitate the community in economic development.

"Currently I am still looking for investors for agricultural development in Solok Regency. Those who want to invest in Solok Regency," he said.

He. said that if you look at it at this time, there are indeed many regional heads for the West Sumatra region from PAN cadres. In fact, if you look at the floor plan today, there is hope for PAN cadres.

"I thank the PAN cadres and invite all cadres to really work for the people, we are different from the others, we do for the people," he said.

Meanwhile, Epyardi assesses that recently there has been no progress regarding West Sumatra.

According to him, there is nothing to be proud of for the current development in West Sumatra. Of course, now society wants change. Society wants to be in a better direction.

"The people are probably fed up, looking at West Sumatra right now. I'm sorry, I can't develop. The development is not progressing, and there is no justice for others. Only for the group. Leaders should be for all, yes, and communication with regional heads Others are lacking too," he said.
