Harmoni Bus Stop Closed, Monas Bus Stop Will Be Sentral Temporary

JAKARTA - Currently, the Transjakarta Harmoni bus stop is closed due to the impact of the construction of the MRT phase 2 CP202 route. The central bus stop will also be revitalized. The DKI Provincial Government plans to move the central bus stop to the Monas bus stop for the next few years.

"Meanwhile (the central bus stop) there (Monas), because the MRT development takes quite a long time, yes, 5 years. So, of course, for the transfer point that we have been relocating to there so far, "said Syafrin at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Monday, March 6.

According to Syafrin, a wide area is needed in terms of capacity to accommodate passengers at the Transjakarta central bus stop because it is a travel transit center.

Therefore, the DKI Provincial Government will carry out minor renovations in the form of increasing the length of the Monas Bus Stop. The target is that the construction of the extension of the Monas Bus Stop will be carried out next year.

"We will coordinate with the MRT, of course, for the extension of the Monas bus stop, so that we can add an ideal condition there. This is a long addition to the bus stop. So, it will not be widened but extended to the south later," said Syafrin.

While waiting for the process of extending the Monas Bus Stop as a central bus stop that temporarily replaces the Harmoni Bus Stop, currently Transjakarta bus transit points are distributed at a number of bus stops.

"Currently, buses from several routes have not dropped at the Monas Bus Stop because there (capacity) is still small. Now, for those from Juanda, for example, they don't get off at the Monas Bus Stop, but go straight to the Thamrin Bus Stop and also the Sarinah Bus Stop up to the HI Roundabout, he will rotate there," he explained.
