KKB Egianus Kogoya Has Left Nduga, Search For Susi Air Pilot Philip Mark Extended To Lanny Jaya

JAKARTA - Commander of the Cartenz Peace Task Force 2023 Kombes Faizal Rahmadani admitted that currently the search for the New Zealand Pilot Susi Air has been expanded to Lanny Jaya Regency. "The search is currently being carried out to Lanny Jaya Regency because Egianus Kogoya and his group have left Paro, Nduga Regency," he explained, quoted from Antara, Monday, May 6. He said the expansion of the search was to find Susi Air Pilot Philip Mark Mahrentens who was held hostage by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) led by Egianus Kogoya since 7 February 2023. Faizal, who is also the Directorate of Criminal Investigation of the Papua Police, said that by expanding the search, it is hoped that he can find a bright spot on the whereabouts of Pilot Susi Air. "There is no time limit for searching and rescuing New Zealand national pilots," said Kombes Faizal. In fact, he said, the Cartenz Cartenz 2023 Task Force took an approach with community leaders, traditional leaders, and local governments. "We continue to strive to free Pilot Philip from the KKB in a safe condition, including the team and the community," he said. Previously, the KKB led by Egianus Kogoya reportedly burned Susi Air's Philatus plane piloted by Philip Mark Mahrentens on 7 February 2023 at Paro Airport, Nduga Regency. In addition to burning planes, the KKB took Pilot Philip, a New Zealander.
