Good News, Registration Of SNPMB Line Student Candidates In South Sumatra Extended

SOUTH SUMATRA - The registration period for new student admissions in South Sumatra (Sumsel) at the National Selection for New Student Admissions (SNPMB) was extended until March 17, 2023.

"The central committee provides the opportunity to register an SNPMB account no later than March 17, 2023, at 15.00 WIB," said a representative of the South Sumatra local committee from Sriwijaya University, Zulkifli Dahlan, Monday, March 6, as reported by Antara.

He explained that the SNPMB account was a requirement for participants to take the Computer-Based Writing Examination in the National Selection Based on the 2023 Test (UTBK-SNBT) to become a student at a state university.

The previous SNPMB account registration period was divided into the first two stages, from January 9, 2023 to February 15, 2023 and the second stage was carried out from February 15, 2023 to March 3, 2023.

However, he said, it was decided for an extension because based on the evaluation, there were still many problems with the verification process at the Education and Culture Information Technology Center (Pusdatin) for prospective participants whose data was incomplete.

The completeness of the data includes NPSN, NISN, date of birth, majors and other requirements that must be included in the registration page of new students.

He stated that the policy for extending the account registration period was regulated in the circular letter of the SNPMB implementing team number 01/SE.SNPMB/2023 signed by the Head of the SNPMB Task Force Mochammad Ashari which was issued on March 3, 2023.

The SNPMB in 2023 is fully managed by the national team of the Education Testing Management Center (BPPP) of the Ministry of Culture, Research and Technology without any fees.

In this year's SNPMB, Sriwijaya University itself received as much as 20 percent or around 1,600 2,000 prospective students spread across the 10 yellow campus faculties.
