Ganjar Pranowo Checks Jebol Embankment Directly On The Dawe Kudus River

The Dawe River Embankment in Payaman Village, Mejobo District, Kudus Regency, which collapsed, received attention from the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo. Friday (3/2/2023), Ganjar immediately visited the location of the broken embankment.

At the location, Ganjar was accompanied by the Regent of Kudus Hartopo and the Head of BBWS Pemali-Juwana, Adek Rizaldi, looking at the embankment that had broken the Dawe River which appeared to have been temporarily handled.

"We are temporarily handling being carried out with sandbags and bamboo barriers and using wire too," said Adek to Ganjar.

Kepala BBWS menjelaskan, hingga hari ini pihaknya telah memantau embankment sepanjang 2,344 kilometer di wilayah sungai Pemali-Juwana. Hasilnya, ditemukan sebanyak 42KM embankment yang rawan dan 19 di antaranya masuk kategori kritik.

Ganjar said that the handling of this broken embankment could not be done alone by BBWS. Local governments, both districts and provinces must also help.

"Including villages, seeing and identifying. So if we create an information system, then that is dangerous, we must alert. The vulnerable points can be given a sign, so that we can ask these village heads to be alert. This is specifically the river, "said Ganjar.

From this observation, Ganjar also saw that the remnants of the flood were still visible from the sand in the residents' yard. Ganjar suggested that the sand carried by the flood could be utilized.

On the other hand, Ganjar also noticed flood inundation on the protocol roads of Kudus Regency. The handling must be fast, said Ganjar by suction.

"In crowded areas, cities, we quickly dry the roads that are traversed by transportation. If we suck up where they are, what kind of equipment, where to look, where to find them, we must prepare and deploy them," said Ganjar.

In addition to coordinating with BBWS, Ganjar Pranowo will also contact Pangdam IV Diponegoro for energy assistance. This synergy is done so that the embankment does not collapse again.

"If we look at Java, it's not like this, but Pantura has a strong rain. So we are still on standby until the end of the month. So for one month we will coordinate in vulnerable areas. If we need more energy, we will contact the TNI to help it," he said.

For information, the Dawe River Embankment, which is located in RT 4 RW 4 Dukuh Golan, broke again on Thursday (2/3/2023) in the morning at around 01.30 WIB. There are three points in Golantepus Village, namely in RT 3 RW 1, and RT 4 RW 4, and RT 4 RW 3, with varying embankment lengths. Handling is carried out by making temporary embankments using sacks filled with sand.
