Praka Jumardi's Body, Victim Of KKB Shooting, Was Evacuated To Timika

JAYAPURA - The body of Soldier Chief Jumardi, a member of the Yonif Raider 303/SSM Task Force who was the victim of a shooting by an armed criminal group was evacuated to Timika, Papua.

Head of Information for Kodam XVII Cenderawasih Colonel Kav. Herman Taryaman said that the evacuation of the TNI soldier's body was using a Cessna 208B Grand Caravan aircraft owned by Smart Cakrawala Aviation with registration number PK-SNG

Praka Jumardi's body was buried in the Red and White Fort hall of the 1710/Mimika Kodim in Timika.

"The plan is that on Saturday (4/3), Praka Jumardi's body will be flown to Makassar and then to Bone for burial," Herman said as reported by ANTARA, Friday, March 3.

He said that Praka Jumardi's death began when members of the KKB confronted security forces who were evacuating residents who died from gunshot wounds to the Sinak Health Center.

During the gun battle, Yonif Raider 303/SSM Task Force member Praka Jumardi was shot and died.

"The gunfire occurred while evacuating the body of Tarina Murib, who was shot dead by the KKB in Pamebut Village, Yugumuak District, Puncak Regency," said Herman.
