The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) reported that the Takari Bridge in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) can now be passed by four-wheeled and two-wheeled vehicles. The bridge that connects the Lelogama-TaMARi butt was damaged by the flood.

Head of BPBD Kupang Semi Tinenty said the bridge was repaired by the Kupang Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Office by deploying 1 excavator to help close the hole at the end of the bridge that was eroded by floodwater.

"Vehicles have been able to pass on the Lelogama-TaMARi buttock bridge because the bridge that almost broke has been repaired, the vehicle is safe to cross the bridge," said Semi, Friday, March 3, confiscated by Antara.

Semi explained that heavy rains occurred in Kupang from 1-2 March 2023 caused flooding.

Flood overflows from the Buttock River inundated dozens of houses in Takari Village on Friday, March 3 morning. In addition, the flood also caused the Takari Bridge and Termanu Bridge in Kupang to be badly damaged.

Semi said the process of repairing the Takari Bridge was carried out quickly after coordination. A total of 1 excavator was deployed to hoard road holes using materials such as rock and sand.

"The PUPR Office of Kupang Regency is quickly deploying heavy equipment and materials to close damaged parts of the bridge so that transportation access from Takari to the Central Amfoang area can be safely crossed by vehicles. Many public vehicles have crossed the bridge after it is repaired," he said.
