JAKARTA - The declaration of Anies Baswedan's candidacy for the 2024 presidential election from a political party that is members of the Change Coalition has been complete. After the Democratic Party officially declared support for Anies as a presidential candidate (candidate) in his office yesterday, Thursday, March 2. Furthermore, the Change Coalition will sign a memorandum of understanding from three political parties, namely, NasDem, PKS and Democrats regarding Anies' appointment in the upcoming presidential election. The Coordinator of the Democratic Party Spokesperson, Herzaky Mahendra Putra, said that currently the team from the three political parties were preparing to sign the memorandum of understanding. "Currently, we are finalizing preparations for the joint declaration of three political parties. There is a memorandum of understanding that will be signed," Herzaky told reporters, Friday, March 3. According to him, there are three main points of the memorandum of understanding that will be signed by the three political parties. Among them, related to the commitment to change and determine the candidate for vice president or read the vice president, Anies' companion in 2024. "(The contents of the memorandum of understanding) are committed to fighting for change and improvement, supporting Anies Baswedan as reading the president's only Coalition for Change, and fully handing over the presidential vice presidential reading elections to the President's Decree," explained Herzaky.
