4 Perpetrators Of Attempted Murder Of TNI Wife In Semarang Sued 18 Years In Prison

The four defendants who attempted to kill a member of the TNI's business in Semarang were arrested during a trial at the Semarang/ANTARA District Court.

Four executors of the attempted murder of Rina Wulandari (34), wife of a member of the Indonesian Army in Semarang, Central Java, were each sentenced to 18 years in prison. "Asking the panel of judges who tried this case to sentence the defendants to 18 years in prison each," said Public Prosecutor Gilang Prama Jasa during a trial at the Semarang District Court, Antara, Thursday, March 2. The four defendants are Sugiono alias Babi, a resident of Demak Regency, Ponco Aji Nugroho, a resident of Semarang, Supriyono alias Sirun, a resident of Semarang, and Agus Santoso alias Gondrong, a resident of Magetan Regency. The prosecutor stated that the defendants were proven to have violated Article 340 of the Criminal Code concerning Murder. In their consideration, the prosecutor assessed that the defendants were proven to have participated in planning the attempted murder. In addition, he said, the actions of the defendants had resulted in the victim Rina Wulandari being seriously injured to this day. "The victim did not forgive the actions of the defendants," he said in the trial chaired by Chief Judge Yogi Arsono. Based on these demands, the panel of judges gave the defendants the opportunity to take part in the online trial from the Semarang Police Detention Center to present their defense at the upcoming trial. Previously, the attempted murder of Rina Wulandari was carried out by the four defendants on July 18, 2022 in front of the victim's house on Jalan Cemara III, Banyumanik, Semarang City. In the crime, the defendant Sugiono as the executor in charge of shooting the victim two shots into Rina Wulandari's stomach. The perpetrators who received direct orders from Muslimin (Rina Wulandari's husband) via cell phone communication were ordered to shoot the head after the first shot hit the stomach only. From the execution of the attempted murder, the perpetrators received a wage of Rp120 million.
