There Is A High School In Kupang That Has Implemented School Entry At 5 Morning, The NTT DPRD Says The Provincial Government Has Not Communication

East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) DPRD admitted that it was surprised by the emergence of the discourse on school entry rules for high school and vocational school students in NTT starting at 05.00 WITA. The discourse was initiated by the Governor of NTT Viktor B. Laiskodat.

"This policy has indeed shocked all of us and the DPRD has not yet been invited to communicate regarding this policy," said Deputy Chairman of the NTT DPRD Inche Sayuna in Kupang, NTT, Tuesday, February 28, as reported by Antara.

Ince said the discourse had been conveyed by the NTT Provincial Government to the DPRD but was only verbal. In the regulation, SMA and SMK activities in NTT will start at 05.00 WITA and teaching and learning activities begin at 06.30 WITA.

He emphasized that the NTT DPRD had not yet been talked to regarding the discourse that became a polemic. However, he said the discourse had already been implemented in a number of high schools and vocational schools in Kupang City.

"Honestly, we from the DPRD were shocked by this policy," he said.

Previously, the NTT Ombudsman asked the NTT Provincial Government, especially the Education and Culture Office, to review the discourse on schools entering starting at 05.00 WITA.

"I ask that the policy be re-discussed with the school committee and parents," said Head of the NTT Ombudsman Darius Beda Daton in Kupang, NTT.

The discourse is also known the NTT color of the viral video circulating on social media. In the video, NTT Governor Viktor B Laiskodat wants SMA and SMK activities in NTT to start at 05.00 WITA to increase the work ethic of students.
