Puslabfor Police Headquarters Olah TKP At The Fire Location Of Semi Permanen Tanah Abang

The Gambir Metro Police have begun an investigation regarding a fire that hit 50 semi-permanent houses in a densely populated area, South Petojo Village, Gambir District, Central Jakarta. The police also dispatched personnel from the Forensic Laboratory Center (Puslabfor) of the National Police Headquarters to the location to determine the official cause of the fire on Monday, February 27.

"Today, it is planned for the National Police Headquarters to come to investigate the crime scene (TKP) at the location of the fire," said Gambir Metro Police Chief Kompol Mugia Yarry Junanda when confirmed, Monday, February 27.

Kompol Mugia said that the police did not yet know the exact number of burning buildings. The type of building that caught fire was semi-permanent.

"The building that caught fire was partnered or semi-permanent. There was no CCTV at the location because the building there was a partner," he said.

Previously, it was reported that the fire that scorched 50 residents' semi-permanent houses on Jalan Abdul Muis, RT 03/03, South Petojo Village, Gambir District, Central Jakarta was caused by a gas stove that forgot to be turned off from one of the residents' houses.

The big fire was extinguished on Monday, February 27, early in the morning at 01.18 WIB. The fire was extinguished by 28 fire engines with 111 personnel.

"The problem with the blackout was due to narrow road access. The location that caught fire was 5000 square meters due to the gas stove that forgot to turn off," said Head of Central Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. Asril Rizal, Monday, February 27.
