Fire Victims In Gambir Have Not Been Recorded SPECific, Lurah: Many Visitors Don't Report RT And Build Housing

The fire that hit the RT 03/05 area, South Petojo Village, Gambir District, Central Jakarta resulted in at least 50 houses dominated by semi-permanent buildings being burned down.

"Approximately 50 houses caught fire. Most of the buildings here are semi-permanent with small booths being built," said South Petojo Village Head Rahmad Hidayat when confirmed, Monday, February 27.

Rahmad said most of those who lived in the location of the fire were Madurese. Generally, most of the jobs that live in the fire locations are traders.

"Most people (red arrivals) from Madura who live here and they also do not report to the RT if they stay. For how many people and heads of families (KK) and fire events we cannot know," he said.

Rahmad explained, a number of refugee camps have also been prepared. Starting from the South Petojo Village office, Child Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA) and other locations.

Previously, it was reported that dozens of officers from the Central Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. were still struggling to extinguish the fire at the fire site for residential areas in the Jalan Tanah Abang 5, RT 03/05 area, Petojo Selatan Village, Gambir District, Central Jakarta.

"The object that caught fire was a resident's house. We have deployed 64 officers to the location," said Head of Central Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Asril Rizal, to reporters, Sunday, February 26.
