Ahead Of The Election, 289 Anthusian Prisoners Adjusted The Voter List For Voting

SAMARINDA - The Class II A Narcotics Correctional Institution (Lapas) Samarinda, East Kalimantan (Kaltim), collaborated with the local Population and Civil Registration Service (Disdukcapil) to synchronize the recording of electronic ID cards (KTP-e) as many as 289 correctional inmates (WBP) to adjust the permanent voter list (DPT) in the 2024 election.

"This correctional inmates carry out synchronization of population identification number (NIK) data by recording their ID cards for adjustments to the 2024 General Election DPT," said Head of the Class IIA Narcotics Prison Samarinda Hidayat as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, February 23.

He stated that the matching and synchronization of NIK data was carried out because many residents of the Samarinda Narcotics Prison did not have an electronic ID card and also needed data adjustments to the correctional database system (SDP) in order to get voting rights at the democratic party later.

He added that the e-KTP recording activity was carried out at the Integrated Service Post for Correctional Development (Posyandu Binpas), which was monitored directly by the Head of the Population Registration Division of the Samarinda Disdukcapil, M Rofiq.

"The electronic ID card recording activity was also attended by representatives of the local neighborhood unit (RT) who were accompanied directly by the Head of the Samarinda Narcotics Prison, J. Kasogi Surya Fattah," he said.

According to him, the digital ID card recording activity for the inmates also aims to complete one of the requirements in carrying out the coaching program.

"Padapan data NIK dan pencatatan E-KTP warga binaan ini dalam rangka penutupan data pemutus pada pemilu, pengecekan asuransi kesehatan WBP pada BPJS, serta konkronisasi antara data NIK dengan data SDP di Lapas Narkotika Samarinda," ujar Hidayat.
