BANDARLAMPUNG - Bandarlampung City Government (Pemkot) said there are 13 points in six sub-districts in the city that have the potential to experience drought during the dry season.

"Regions prone to water difficulties during the dry season are in six sub-districts," said Head of Emergency and Logistics of BPBD Bandarlampung City Gustriansyah as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, February 22.

He mentioned that six sub-districts namely three-dot length, one-point Kedaton, three-point warning, three-point Sukabumi, one-point East Tanjungkarang, and two-point Wayhalim.

"Now in Bandar Lampung it has not yet entered the dry season. Usually it is in the sixth or seventh months like last year this city entered the dry season," he said.

He also said that in order to anticipate drought, especially the shortage of community water in the dry season, BPBD had prepared two supply cars to help meet the availability of clean water.

"But every community who wants to be assisted with clean water must report to the RT. Later the RT will notify the lurah, then the lurah will make a letter of application to the BPBD and then we will send clean water assistance," he said.

He said that for the availability of clean water, the Bandarlampung City Government also already has a number of shelters located in a number of sub-districts and also at the Fire Service Office.

"We are also ready to anticipate drought in this city and will always coordinate in meeting the community's clean water needs. But for now it has not yet entered the dry season," he said.
