BMKG Cares For Extreme Weather Due To Sea Waves As High As 2 Meters In Bali Until February 24

The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) appealed to the public to be aware of the potential for strong winds and sea waves that can reach 2 meters or more in Bali on February 22 '24'.

"The BMKG's appeal to the public to remain vigilant and careful about the impact of disasters caused by extreme weather such as floods, puddles, landslides, strong winds, fallen trees, and lightning," said Head of the Center for Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Region III Denpasar Cahyo Nugroho as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, February 22.

In information on weather forecasts in Denpasar, BMKG estimates that for the next three days the wind will blow from southwest to northwest with speeds ranging from 545 kilometers per hour.

Meanwhile, the sea wave height in the northern waters of Bali on February 22 on February 22 is estimated to range from 0.52.5 meters, in the southern waters of Bali 13 meters, in the Bali Strait 0.52.5 meters, and in the Lombok Strait 0.52.5 meters.

BMKG also appealed to people who are active in coastal areas, especially fishermen and marine business actors to be aware of the potential for high sea waves that can reach 2 meters or more, especially in the waters south of Bali.

In the same weather forecast information, BMKG also predicts that for the next 3 days the weather will generally be cloudy with the potential for light rain and heavy rain in most areas of Bali.

Not only general weather forecasts, BMKG also issued weather forecasts at several tourist attractions in Bali, including Nusa Dua, Tanah Lot, Kuta, Sanur, Ubud, Kintamani, Bedugul, and Besakih.

BMKG estimates that on February 22-24 the sea wave height in Nusa Dua ranges from 12.5 meters, in Kuta 0.751.5 meters, Tanah Lot 0.51.5 meters, and in Sanur 0.251.25 meters.

Then, light rain is predicted to fall in Nusa Dua and Kuta at night, while in Bedugul and Besakih heavy rain falls during the day on February 2222.
