Arrested By Police, A Recidivist From Mataram Claims To Sell Drugs For The Savings Of A Wife's Loan

The man who was registered as a drug case recidivist from Abian Body, Mataram City, West Nusa Tenggara with the initials IKT (33) admitted to selling methamphetamine again to increase the savings on the cost of giving birth to his wife, who is now pregnant. When the arrest took place, witnessed by residents, continued Yogi, the perpetrator's family also tried to block the officers. The perpetrator with the initials IKT was caught based on follow-up public information. From the arrest of IKT, the police confiscated evidence of methamphetamine with a gross weight of less than 1 gram, a shabu-shabu suction device and a bundle of empty plastic clips. "When our team carried out an ambush on the road, the perpetrator threw away evidence. However, thanks to the alertness of the team in the field, the evidence was successfully secured," he said. Furthermore, Yogi said that his party is still conducting a series of examinations of IKT which leads to Law No. 35/2009 on Narcotics. It was also revealed that IKT is a drug case recidivist who is free to serve a sentence in 2020. "So, in handling this case, we still have six days since the arrest to determine the status of the person concerned," said Yogi.
