KALTENG - Operations with the police and correctional institutions or (prisons) revealed a network of drug trafficking in the Sukamara area, Central Kalimantan (Central Kalimantan).

A Class II B Pangkalan Bun prison inmate with the initials MF was involved in smoothing crystal methamphetamine transactions through his networking.

Sukamara Police Chief AKBP Dewa Made Palguna said, based on the disclosure of this case, methamphetamine was secured with 41.61 grams of evidence.

"The disclosure of this network began when members received information from the public. In order to ensure the truth, members checked and secured the suspect FF along with evidence of narcotics of the type of methamphetamine with a gross weight of 2.04 grams, as well as a number of other evidences," he said in Sukamara, Central Kalimantan, Tuesday, February 21, confiscated by Antara.

Based on the development, information found that FF's methamphetamine was purchased at a price of Rp. 500 thousand from a resident in Kotawaringin Lama, West Kotawaringin Regency (Kobar), Central Kalimantan.

"Without waiting long, our members went straight to the intended location and managed to secure the suspect PS along with evidence in the form of 23 packages of crystal methamphetamine with a gross weight of 39.57 grams, and cash amounting to Rp. 2.7 million and other evidence," he said.

Made continued, the suspects FF and PS were arrested on Thursday 9 February.

The suspect PS then admitted that the methamphetamine he got was through the MF route, which is an inmate or inmate of the Class IIB Pangkalan Bun Prison.

"I need to convey, in disclosing this case, we also cooperate or join operations with the Class II B Pangkalan Bun Prison in conducting early security, as well as analyzing evidence related to the relationship between the MF suspect in prison," said Made.

He emphasized that it was not evidence of methamphetamine that was included in the Pangkalan Bun Class IIB Prison, but that the suspect MF only had networks or networks against the suspect PS as the field controller. The suspects MF and PS also still have a relative relationship.

In this case, the suspect FF is subject to Article 114 paragraph (1) of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning narcotics with a maximum imprisonment of 20 years. Meanwhile, PS and MF are subject to Article 114 paragraph (2) Jo Article 132 paragraph (1) and/or Jo 112 paragraph (2) Jo 132 paragraph (1) Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning narcotics, with the threat of death penalty, life imprisonment or a minimum of 6 years and a maximum of 20 years.
