JAKARTA - The minimum booster dose of vaccination is still applied to prospective train transport service passengers during Eid al-Fitr 1444 Hijri homecoming.

"It can be ascertained that the requirement for booster vaccines remains in effect for prospective passengers who use rail transportation services during this year's Eid homecoming," said Head of Baturaja train station, Abdullah in Baturaja, Tuesday, February 21, as reported by Antara.

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) supports all government policies for rail travel during the COVID-19 pandemic. This policy is expected to suppress the spread of COVID-19 in the community, especially in OKU Regency.

During this year's Eid homecoming transportation period, PT KAI continues to apply the rules for all prospective passengers, namely having received a minimum booster dose of vaccine and a second dose of primary vaccine for children aged 6-17 years.

Meanwhile, customers under the age of six are not required to be vaccinated, but there must be a companion who meets the travel requirements. The requirement for giving the vaccine is absolute because the current rapid test certificate is no longer valid.

"For this reason, we again urge prospective customers to start vaccinating up to the 3rd dose to support government programs in handling COVID-19," he said.

In addition, health protocols (prokes) are still applied, one of which is mandatory to wear masks when in the station area and while on train trips.

To help customers implement health protocols, he said, PT KAI distributed healthy kits to Long Distance Train customers containing masks and wet tissue for free.

"If there are customers who are found not wearing masks properly, then our officers will reprimand the person concerned to comply with the prokes," he said.
