Deputy Governor of West Java, Uu Ruzhanul Ulum, asked Deputy Regent of Indramayu Lucky Hakim to continue his service to the local community and carry out his duties as deputy regional head. "Because we have received a mandate from the community. We hope that no matter how bitter we are in carrying out our mandate, we must be steadfast. Don't resign," said Uu in Cirebon, West Java, Antara, Monday, February 20. Uu added that the deputy regent was a political position. He also considered what was happening at this time to be one of the political decisions taken by Lucky Hakim. However, he still asked Lucky Hakim to continue the mandate that the people of Indramayu had given by completing their duties as deputy regents. Uu said the task as a deputy regional head does have limited movement and does not have inherent authority. So, he continued, good communication with the relevant regional heads is needed so that they can gain trust. "I also feel as a representative (governor). I do not have the authority, do not have that and have this; but the Governor (Ridwan Kamil) gives me additional authority. We hope (Indramayu regent) can share tasks," he said. He also asked Lucky Hakim to introspect himself because he had won the trust by the community, so he should not resign. Uu also appealed to the Regent of Indramayu Nina Agustina to give Lucky Hakim a job or task with respect and recognition of the presence of deputy regents in Indramayu. "The regent and deputy regent are one unit that must be related to each other," he said. "We are introspecting ourselves, because we are representatives. We hope that Lucky Hakim will not resign, continue to work. We hope that the Regent (Nina) will give awards, respect, and give assignments, so that the existence will be one," said Uu Ruzhanul Ulum.
