YOGYAKARTA - The suspect of violence in the Yogyakarta Kilometer Zero Point area with the initials GN (17) reported back on the victim for alleged beatings.
"The alleged perpetrator, through his legal advisor, has indeed made a police report at the Yogyakarta Police Satreskrim and we have received it," said Head of the Yogyakarta Police Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Archye Nevadha when met on the sidelines of the reconstruction of the case at the Yogyakarta Kilometer Zero Point, Antara, Friday, February 17.
Regarding the report received last week, the police are still conducting investigations and deepening by examining a number of witnesses.
"The report is related to criminal acts of beatings or persecution," he added.
According to Archye, suspect GN reported the victim related to the first incident, namely before the suspect and his friends committed violence against the victim.
"Because, there were two incidents; the first was when the child who was in conflict with the law (GN) came alone at the TKP. Then, because he felt stuck, he finally came home to pick up (iron) knock and called his friends who were drinking at that time and someone was carrying a sharp weapon," he explained.
He ensured that the Yogyakarta Police followed up on the suspect's report professionally.
"What is clear is that we carry out the investigation process professionally, because there are people who report it. We accept it and we will investigate it later," he added.
The Yogyakarta Police Satreskrim held a reconstruction of the violence case at three crime scenes (TKP), Friday, namely on Jalan Kleringan, Jalan Malioboro, and Zero Point Kilometer Yogyakarta.
A number of suspects, namely FN (26), YG (33), LT (23), TR (27), and NK (20) were presented, while GN in the reconstruction of the case was represented by a stunt double because he was still a minor.
The case of violence at the Yogyakarta Kilometer Zero Point began when the victim and his friends on Tuesday (7/2) at around 04.00 WIB left their rented house to simply tour the city of Yogyakarta riding a motorcycle.
While crossing the area to Jalan Malioboro, the victim had time to play with motorcycle gas while raising the front tire (standard) when he passed the suspect GN. GN and the group of victims were then involved in a dispute, mocked each other, and challenged each other while crossing Jalan Malioboro.
From the direction of Malioboro, the victim's group then turned left, while the GN behind them hit the victim from behind. This triggered a fight in the Yogyakarta Kilometer Zero Point area.
Suspect GN, who at that time was alone, felt defeated until he was beaten by a group of victims. GN then went home to pick up an iron knock bar and told his friends who were hanging out.
GN and his friends then went back to the victim with his colleagues who were still at Kilometer Zero Point. The fight and beatings were unavoidable and circulated on social media.
In that incident, the victim suffered abrasions due to being hit by a sharp weapon in the form of a sickle by the suspect LT.
The suspects were charged with Article 170 of the Criminal Code regarding acts of violence together against someone in public with a maximum threat of seven years in prison.
